The Story & Inspiration Behind Hotel 4-1-9 – Downtown Long Beach, CA

From Bali to Miami and New York to Chicago, we’ve been largely inspired by the boutique hotels of our travels. We’ve honed in on the details that made each of those stays memorable and compiled them here for you to experience. Located directly on the Promenade Walk between 1st and Broadway in the most sought-after boutique building in Downtown Long Beach.  133 The Promenade is home to this highly desirable and rarely available 2-story penthouse loft.  At 1,250 sqft, the floorplan is optimal with 1-bedroom, upper-level loft flex space (easy to use as a second bedroom), and 2 full size baths. The 30 ft high ceilings accommodate floor to ceiling windows that flood the unit with natural sunlight. Reimagined, designed and stylized for NEW Long Beach, Swankitecture Properties presents “Hotel 4-1-9.”

If you’ve ever stayed with us before, then you know no stone has been left unturned.  Details are paramount and luxury is standard.  At Hotel 4-1-9, you are self-contained to entertain. The main level opens to the balcony, a perfect convenience to get some burgers going on the grill. The upper level opens to the Balinese inspired garden where you can jumpstart your day with an al fresco cappuccino or unwind around the firepit with a glass of wine in the evening.  On the inside it’s easy to dial in the vibe with bioethanol fireplace, dimmable ambient lighting, and a Bluetooth Marshall speaker.  Experience a movie with cinema quality picture and sound on a 65″ screen supported by one of the most timeless frontstages of modern times that includes an audio receiver, Blu Ray player, and Definitive Technology Tower Speakers.

The kitchen is equipped for chefs and mixologists to do flex their skills with KitchenAid professional series appliances and barware galore.  A Nespresso Verturo, milk frother, and a Balmuda toaster oven; it’s all here.

The main level bedroom is the epitome of luxury outfitted with a king-sized bed and reading vignette.  Dual closets come loaded with solid wooden hangers to keep your wardrobe organized.

The upper-level loft offers much versatility. Create a separate bedroom. Set up a studio. Or conquer the world via the ultimate office space.

Both bathrooms are fully stocked with plush towels, robes, and bathmats for proper pamper.  We get you started with Cowshed toiletries.

This midrise complex is timeless in design. Recently painted with accompanying upgrades, it’s never shown so well. Robust property management tends to the grounds and keeps the vegetation well-manicured to accentuate the tropical vibes throughout the building.

Book the clubhouse to host a large gathering or celebration. Extend the party onto the outdoor patio equipped with firepit, ample bar seating, and outdoor fridge. Only 2% of the buildings in Downtown Long Beach have a clubhouse, a rare find indeed.

Only 5% of the buildings in the Downtown Core have fitness centers and this is one of them! State of the art machines, free weights, a Pelton bike, a Hydrow rower, cardio-o-plenty, and yoga studio make this gym well-apportioned.

Most buildings have little to no guest parking. Here it’s the complete opposite. The unit comes with two guest parking passes for your visitors.  Metropolis runs the parking garage making it easy to validate your guests’ short- and long-term stays from your mobile phone via app.
